Apple Blossom Orchard Newsletter – Spring 2013

Dear Friends/Customers, Family and Neighbors,

As we approach the upcoming apple season, we are still heavy into the pruning process here at the orchard. With the recent heavy snowfalls, the process was delayed until we could get into the orchard after some of the snow melted. Mother Nature often has a different schedule than what we have planned! Nevertheless, the trees are looking great and hopefully prepared to produce a sizeable crop this fall.

Looking ahead to fall, we have purchased a caramel corn machine which will enable us to make larger quantities of caramel corn in a shorter period of time. We were constantly running out last year and will now be able to serve our customers more efficiently. We hope you will join us for a sample in September.

Our Fall Festival/Apple Butter Day is being planned for Saturday, October 5. This is always a fun time and we hope to have good weather as the apple butter is prepared outside over the open fire. We plan to have some new vendors this year as well as some entertainment. There will also be a taste testing of the fresh apple butter and hot dogs will be available.

In the meantime, we hope you all have a wonderful Spring/Summer and we look forward to seeing you in the fall – right after Labor Day.!

Blessings to all
